KBS‘s ‘Immortal Song 2‘ returned for another week of stunning performances put on by some of the best vocalists in the industry.
This week, the theme was ’7080 Big Match’, and a total of 14 vocalists came together to perform renditions of the biggest hits from the 70′s and 80′s. The contestants were divided into two rounds, with the first round airing this week.
Viewers got to see performances from Norazo‘s Lee Hyuk, Lee Jung, Lee Ki Chan, Lim Jeong Hee, Ali, Lee Haeri, Jung Hee Young.
The following round will see performances from Seo In Young, Hong Kyung Min, Go Yoo Jin, Shin Yong Jae, Lee Suk Hoon, Im Tae Kyung, and Joo Hee.
In a pre-survey asking contestants to choose someone they were most cautious of, the singers all chose 4MEN‘s Shin Yong Jae and Ali. Although Shin Yong Jae is the maknae of the pack (born in 1989), he’s earned the respect of senior artists for his impressive vocal talent.
Ali is also a highly anticipated artist amongst veteran singers. Lee Jung commented, “I personally love Ali. I’d love to be able to work on a recording with her some day.”

KBS‘s ‘Immortal Song 2‘ returned for another week of stunning performances put on by some of the best vocalists in the industry.
This week, the theme was ’7080 Big Match’, and a total of 14 vocalists came together to perform renditions of the biggest hits from the 70′s and 80′s. The contestants were divided into two rounds, with the first round airing this week.

On September 22nd, singer Maybee will be making her comeback after a three year absence with a new digital single titled “Goodbye Valentine“.
She released her last single in 2008 and has since gone on to work in a variety of different areas as an actress, composer, and DJ. She’s ready to return to the stage this year with a concept drawn up by herself. “Goodbye Valentine” will focus on an ‘Alice in Wonderland‘ concept with the choreography and stage set up all planned by her.
Her agency revealed, “She recently completed the music video filming and is practicing her live singing. It’s been about four years since she last performed on stage so she wants to show something completely different from her older image. Idol groups are all the rave lately, but she’s going to differentiate herself as a female soloist.”
“Goodbye Valentine” was composed by hit prouder Kim Gun Woo, who’s worked with her in the past. The lyrics were penned by Maybee. The song is described to be a fast tempo ballad with strong lyrics.

Rainbow has been receiving explosive interest from the Japanese Market which is evident on the Oricon Daily Single Chart.
On September 16th, DSP Media shared an interesting fact about Japan’s reaction towards Rainbow who debuted in the country not long ago. As soon as the girls released their Japanese debut single, ‘A‘, they placed third on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart. They held their place the next day and enjoyed third place for two consecutive days! The girls have sold 14,744 copies of ‘A’ within this short time frame.
Unexpectedly, Rainbow was asked to guest on famous Japanese program, Fuji TV‘s ‘Waratte Iitomo‘ by representatives of the show. Due to their explosive interest from viewers, representatives asked Rainbow to stay longer on the program. Thus, the girls stopped packing their bags and went back to the set.
Rainbow’s part on the program will be aired this Sunday.
For those who do not know, ‘Waratte Iitomo’ is a popular show that has been in the business for a long time starting back in 1982. The show has featured many top Hallyu Stars.
On another note, Rainbow will have their first Japanese hand shake event in the AX Hall located in Shibuya, Tokyo.
DSP media commented, “Over 2,000 fans visited Rainbow’s first album release event at a certain place in Ikebukuru which had a capacity of 1,500. Thus, we are expecting a lot for this upcoming hand shake event“.

Actor Hyun Bin is being considered for a position with the military public relations team!
On September 16th, a member of the National Assembly Defense Committee revealed that the Marine Corps were currently considering a plan to appoint private Hyun Bin to a position on the public relations team, before promoting him to corporal. This has happened once before in the Marine Corps with singer Lee Jung Jae.
After entering the Marine Corps back in March, Hyun Bin has been serving at Baekryeondo 6th Brigade as a regular combat soldier.
On the 25th, Hyun Bin will be attending the ’3rd Seoul’s Recapture Commemoration Marine Corps Marathon‘. In the future, depending on the rotation cycle, he will be leaving Baekryungdo to undergo mandatory training for a number of months.

The boys of 2PM have had a long endorsement relationship with South Korea’s largest theme park, Everland Resorts. As Halloween is fast approaching, Everland is doing their best to endorse their new Horror Maze haunted house and they’ve recruited 2PM for just this purpose.
Earlier in the month, Everland opened a website and revealed various still photos of 2PM endorsing the new Horror Maze and now they’ve released a CF. In the CF, the boys are filmed in the Horror Maze and you can genuinely see their various reactions while making their way through the maze.
The boys may be Beasts but it seems that even the beasts can be frightened, check out the CF below

After releasing their new mini album, ‘It B1A4‘, B1A4 has been receiving explosive attention.
After releasing B1A4′s special mini album the online music sites have been stormed with orders.
Even before officially going on sale, the mini album was recently ranked at the top of Kyobobook, Aladdin, Interpark, Yes24, Apple Music, and others for having the top number of presales.
B1A4′s agency, WM Entertainment stated, “After the teaser for their title song, “Beautiful Target“, was released on Chuseok, more than 20,000 people visited their homepage and it seems that their 2nd mini album has received a lot of attention“.
The agency continued, “When we started the presales for the music album, the orders were storming the websites. Despite being rookies, their sales figure is quickly rising over the 25,000 album sold threshold. If it continues like this, they will easily surpass the number of albums sold from their 1st mini album.”
Notably, for this mini album, Shinwoo and Baro wrote the title song and also participated in creating the rap lyrics for the album, while Jinyoung contributed a self-composed and arranged song.
Their title song, “Beautiful Target“, contains Baro’s and Shinwoo’s feelings towards their noonas, containing the motif of their “zooming and rocket-like” feelings.

Brown Eyed Girls member Narsha revealed that she experienced a power outage while recording for Brown Eyed Girls’ new album on August 10th.
